Michigan grown wet hops harvested in the morning and added to the brew later the same afternoon add complex notes of pine sap, ruby-red grapefruit rind, and dried pineapple. Fading hints of stone fruits and citrus play off the sweet underlying malt notes.
Secret INgredients
Hop Head Farms was established in Hickory Corners Michigan in 2011. The rich soil and lake effect weather of Southwest Michigan results in an agricultural climate similar to the Hallertau, the revered hop growing region of Germany. Chinook is a famously piney hop variety, yet Michigan grown Chinook is much fruitier and less resinous. Crack open a can, fill up a glass, and taste the terroir!
